BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 15% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Kendrys Morales has yet to show his age and is hitting cleanup for the Blue Jays. Even at 35 years old, he is not a handicap to any fantasy lineup. By itself, his 13 HR and .253 average on the season does not exude confidence, but, when you look at his recent performance, you will see the benefits he still provides. Since July 23, Morales is hitting .302 with two home runs, four runs scored, and eight RBI.
The last couple of months he has started swinging the bat well, with a .277 batting average in June and .338 in July. A 39.7% hard hit rate and 25% line drive rate since the beginning of July demonstrates that he can still swing the bat like those 10 years his junior. Morales has seen his batting average rise in every month this season, something that should make fantasy owners more secure about his 2-for-14 start to August.
Morales is a cheap source of power and should be owned in deeper leagues.
