BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED: 2% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: There are only two pass-catchers active (not injured) in the NFL with 11 or fewer targets averaging 9+ PPR points per game and with 30+ through five games: Raiders WRs Henry Ruggs III and Nelson Agholor. Las Vegas QB Derek Carr has been riding the Darren Waller (47 targets) train so hard this season that Hunter Renfrow is currently the second most-targeted player of the team with less than half Waller's targets.
Ruggs is now back in action, which will get the attention of defenses on a fairly large basis. Renfrow has not been very good with just 2.0 PPR points per target. Agholor, while underutilized (11 targets even though he has the most WR-snaps of Las Vegas at 199), is averaging a very sweet 4.22 PPR points per target, doubling Renfrow's production.
It's been back-to-back weeks in which Agholor has scored a touchdown and finished with 14+ PPR points. He caught 4-of-4 targets for 44 yards in Week 4, and finished 2-of-2 for 67 last Sunday. He's been basically automatic at catching the ball with a 90.9% catch rate so far, and although Ruggs should get more and more opportunities going forward it's fair to say Agholor should retain a WR2 role at the very least.
The only reason not to add Agholor in shallow leagues is his low usage (just 11 combined targets in five games), but if that sees an uptick he might be worth adding in those two. For now, target him as a WW pickup if you play in a deeper format and have room to stash him, as the Raiders are on a bye this weekend but will face four bottom-half defenses in fantasy points allowed to WRs once they come back.
