7 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Addison Reed (tricep) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday with tightness in his right triceps. Alan Busenitz was recalled from Triple-A Rochester in a corresponding move. It's been a nightmare of a year for Reed as the eighth-inning setup man to Fernando Rodney, as he's 1-5 with a 4.83 ERA, 37 strikeouts and 13 walks in 41 innings. Many believed Reed would eventually take over the ninth-inning gig from the shaky Rodney in Minnesota, but that just hasn't happened. Reed can be dropped in all leagues and there is no timetable for his return. Ryan Pressly or Trevor Hildenberger would be the next men up for saves if Rodney gets injured.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
