Alexandar Georgiev No Match For Toronto's Offense
6 years agoNew York Rangers goaltender Alexandar Georgiev allowed four goals on 35 shots in Saturday's 5-3 road loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs. All four of the goals he yielded were of the even-strength variety, so it wasn't a terribly impressive performance. Neal Pionk posted a goal and assist in this one, including a goal late in the second period to level the game 1-1. However, Georgiev came apart like a cheap suit in the third, coughing up goals to Andreas Johnsson, Morgan Rielly and Mitchell Marner. The Rangers host the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday night before taking off three days for the holiday break.
