7 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi was placed on the bereavement list on Friday and first baseman Sam Travis was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket in a corresponding move. Benintendi will miss the rest of the weekend but will be back for the start of the second half of the season. He finishes the first half with a healthy slash line of .297/.380/.517 with 14 home runs, 57 RBI, 17 steals and 68 runs scored in 91 games.
