7 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Andrew Cashner (neck) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a neck strain. The team recalled pitcher Yefry Ramirez from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move. Cashner recently received an injection in his neck and he'll rest over the All-Star break before likely returning to start the second half. He hasn't been very effective in Baltimore for a bad team and doesn't strike out enough hitters to be more than an AL-only option. Ramirez has started three games for the O's and most recently allowed four runs in four innings to the Yankees this week. He sports a 3.93 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 8.3 K/9 in 18 1/3 innings in the majors and will be a risky streamer this weekend against Texas in Cashner's place.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
