7 years agoCleveland Indians relief pitcher Andrew Miller (knee) could be back in the "next few weeks," according to president of baseball operations Chris Antonetti. "His outing the other night was really encouraging. His fastball velocity and shape to his pitches is starting to creep back to where he is when he's at his best," Antonetti said. Miller hasn't quite been himself this year due to injuries (4.40 ERA), but he was still striking out 14.4 hitters per nine innings and should remain useful in deeper leagues for his ratios when he returns. The Indians aren't rushing him after just acquiring reliever Brad Hand from the Padres on Thursday. With Hand now in the fold, the chances are less likely that Miller sees many save chances in the second half.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
