Logan Allen Shellacked By Giants
5 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Logan Allen suffered his first career loss Monday, surrendering six earned runs in four innings against the San Francisco Giants. Allen fared well in his first two starts but faltered against the Giants, allowing seven hits and two walks while fanning three. He was surely a popular DFS pick due to the matchup and light slate. In 17 frames, Allen holds a 4.24 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 6.9 K/9. With starter Dinelson Lamet’s (elbow) imminent return to the rotation, Allen could be relegated to the bullpen or optioned to Triple-A. While the future looks bright for baseball’s no. 61 prospect, his 2019 fantasy appeal is fading.
