Braden Bishop Goes On Injured List

5 years agoThe Seattle Mariners placed outfielder Braden Bishop (spleen) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with a lacerated spleen and recalled outfielder Mac Williamson from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding move. Williamson signed a minor league deal with Seattle on Wednesday. He hit a pinch-hit home run in the eighth inning Wednesday in his first at-bat with the M's. Bishop was hit in the ribs last week in the minors, which must have contributed to his injury. He was 2-for-24 in his 10 games with the Mariners and will be out indefinitely. Williamson was hitting well in Triple-A for the Giants this year but hit just .118 (6-for-51) with a home run in 15 games. He'll be a fourth outfielder for Seattle and doesn't carry much fantasy appeal.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
