3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (hip) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, according to Dustin Morse of the Minnesota Twins. He's been sidelined since the beginning of May with a hip strain, but it seems like he could be back with the Twins pretty soon barring any setbacks. Prior to the injury, Buxton was one of the hottest batters in the league this season, slashing .370/.408/.772 with nine home runs, five steals, 17 RBI and 19 runs scored. Managers should keep an eye on how he does during this rehab assignment, and be prepared for him to return by the middle of the month.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
