6 years agoPortland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum finished Monday’s win over the Los Angeles Clippers with 27 points on 11-for-19 shooting. At just below 22 points per game on the season, McCollum has continued his scoring pace from a season ago, but his assists have fallen off through his first 29 games of 2018-19. There’s no question McCollum can fill it up on a nightly basis, but he very rarely posts gaudy numbers in a category other than points. He next faces the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, whom he went for a cool 40 points against last week.--Jesse Borek
