Cam Newton Staying In Shape

4 years agoFree-agent quarterback Cam Newton made a few Instagram posts this week showing him throwing and working out. Concerns over back and shoulder problems are partially why Newton remains on the free-agent market during the coronavirus pandemic that has prohibited teams from being able to medically evaluate the signal-caller. Teams will most likely want their own medical personnel to examine him closely before they even consider signing him, so it might still be a while before Newton finds a home after being released by the Panthers. One of the best dual-threat QBs when healthy, the former MVP will likely have to settle for a backup job somewhere and prove he's 100 percent healthy again before he gets another shot.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
