4 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals re-signed catcher Matt Wieters to a one-year, $2 million deal on Wednesday. The 33-year-old will return as the backup to veteran Yadier Molina after playing in 67 games in 2019. The four-time All-Star with the Orioles hit 11 home runs and threw out eight of 19 potential base stealers during last season. He's hit .250 with 146 home runs (sixth all time among switch-hitting backstops) and 546 RBI in 1,148 career games. Wieters won't have any fantasy appeal unless Molina misses more time due to injury in 2020.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
