5 years agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Carl Edwards Jr. has been optioned to the minors on Monday. He holds a 5.87 ERA through 20 appearances this season. He was roughed up on Sunday, so the Cubs decided to let him get some extra work in the minors. Roman Wick has been recalled to take his spot on the active roster. Wick has pitched extremely well since being demoted July 2. However, he's not going to be helpful in fantasy leagues while pitching in middle relief.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
