4 years agoColorado Rockies relief pitcher Carlos Estevez could begin to see more save opportunities in the near future given Daniel Bard's continued struggles this year, according to Thomas Harding of MLB.com. Manager Bud Black said that Bard is still the closer when "rested and ready to go," but he left the door open to the possibility of Estevez getting more save opportunities going forward when Bard is not available. If Estevez ever is named the full-time closer then he could be worth looking at in 12-team leagues, but for now it appears that Colorado's bullpen is enough of a mess that managers should look elsewhere for saves for now.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
