Chandler Jones To Miss Rest Of The Season

4 years agoArizona Cardinals linebacker Chandler Jones (biceps) is undergoing biceps surgery and will miss the rest of the season, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Jones suffered the injury in the Week 5 win over the Jets and played just 27 snaps before getting hurt. Kingsbury thinks the recovery period is three to four months for Jones, which should put him back in time for the start of next season, the final year of his contract. Arizona's pass rush wasn't nearly as effective after Jones' injury last week, and the team's highest-paid player is coming off a 2019 season in which he had 19 sacks and a league-high eight forced fumbles. Jones had one sack and 11 tackles in five weeks in 2020. Even without Jones, the Cardinals Defense is in streaming consideration in Week 6 against a Cowboys team that just lost quarterback Dak Prescott (ankle) for the season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
