4 years agoBoston Red Sox catcher Christian Vazquez has been coming up in trade rumors recently, but Vazquez has made it clear that he hopes a trade doesn't happen. "My goal is retire here," Vazquez said, speaking of his commitment to the Red Sox organization. Vazquez got off to a scorching start to the year, with four home runs in July, but he's yet to hit a home run since. He's slashing .227/.256/.267 with three doubles and 25 strikeouts over 75 at-bats in August. He's a low-end starting catcher option in all leagues for now with the hope that he can start providing more power again soon.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
