Christin Stewart Lands On Injured List

5 years agoThe Detroit Tigers placed outfielder Christin Stewart on the seven-day concussion injured list on Wednesday and called up outfielder Victor Reyes from the minors in a corresponding move. Stewart is hitting .239/.321/.393 with seven home runs, 27 runs and 33 RBI in 285 at-bats this year and is only useful in AL-only leagues. With him on the shelf and Nicholas Castellanos traded to the Cubs on Wednesday, Reyes should play nearly every day and could be an option for the desperate in AL-only leagues. The 23-year-old Reyes has hit .254 with no homers and four RBI in 59 big league at-bats in 2019. For Triple-A Toledo he was hitting .304/.334/.481 with 10 long balls, 58 RBI and 10 stolen bases in 74 games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
