Dalvin Cook Ruled Out Against Falcons

3 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (groin) has been officially ruled out for Week 6 against the Falcons. This doesn't come as a huge surprise, as Cook didn't practice all week and will be rested ahead of the team's Week 7 bye. Backup Alexander Mattison will be an excellent plug-and-play RB1 this Sunday against the winless Falcons. He stepped in for Cook in Week 5 against the Seahawks and rushed the ball 20 times for 112 yards while also catching all three of his targets for 24 yards. The 22-year-old ripped off chunk gain after chunk gain and looked very similar to Cook in Minnesota's offense. Mike Boone will likely serve as Mattison's backup in this one, but he won't have any standalone fantasy value.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
