4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder/catcher Daulton Varsho is slotting in as the leadoff hitter for the first time this year in Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. Varsho has primarily hit in the lower-third of the Diamondbacks lineup when active this year. He batted ninth in Wednesday's game. The versatile Varsho has bounced between catcher and outfield during his first stint in the big leagues. He's slashing .159/.256/.348 with three home runs, seven RBI, ten runs and three stolen bases over 28 games. If he's able to improve at the plate, he could be a very valuable player in fantasy given his catcher eligibility.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
