6 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher David Hess turned in a strong performance in Monday's 6-5 win over the Blue Jays. Hess pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing no runs on no hits and a walk with eight strikeouts. The results were great and the 25-year-old also showed a bump in velocity (average fastball velocity of 93.8 mph) compared to an average of 91.9 mph last season. The increase in velocity may help Hess improve on a lackluster 2018 season, but fantasy players will need to see more outings like this before giving him a vote of confidence.
