4 years agoWith the 35th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos have taken North Carolina running back Javonte Williams. Regarded by some as the best running back in this draft, Williams had 1,140 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns last season for the Tar Heels, plus added 305 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns. Williams can be a three-down back in the NFL, but the Broncos have Melvin Gordon III at running back already, so it's not clear what Williams' role will be off the bat. Still, you don't trade up for a running back if you don't plan to use him a lot, so expect Williams to see plenty of snaps. He could end up as a solid fantasy player later in the 2021 season, but it'll be hard to trust him in fantasy drafts.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
