Denzel Mims Not Looking Good For Sunday

4 years agoNew York Jets rookie wide receiver Denzel Mims (hamstrings) will not practice on Friday. Head coach Adam Gase said Mims had an issue with his other hamstring, and "it's not looking good" for the rookie making his NFL debut in Week 1 against the Bills. The 22-year-old out of Baylor wasn't trending as much of a fantasy play in the season opener to begin with, so this makes the decision easier for anyone who was considering him as a flex in deeper leagues. Breshad Perriman and Jamison Crowder will be Gang Green's top-two wideouts in a tough matchup with Buffalo's defense in the season opener. Mims may not make much of an impact in the team's offense early in the year as he battles to get back to 100 percent health.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
