2 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers claimed third baseman Rylan Bannon off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles on Monday after he was designated for assignment last week. Bannon was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the eighth round in 2017 out of Xavier University. He got his first taste of major league action with the Orioles this year and went 2-for-14 (.143) with five strikeouts and two runs scored in just four games played. In 78 games at Triple-A Norfolk this year, the 26-year-old hit .229/.347/.407 with 11 home runs, 58 RBI, 45 runs scored and six stolen bases in 326 plate appearances.
