7 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees likely won't throw for 400-plus yards this Sunday as he did in three of his past five playoff appearances. He probably won't go over 300 yards either like he did in his last playoff game in 2014, as he's only done that once all season. He does enter Wild-Card weekend as the safest QB among those playing. In his two games against Carolina earlier this year, he posted a 4:0 touchdown-to-interception ratio while completing about 75 percent of his passes. Carolina has only forced 10 interceptions all season long. Brees may not produce a high volume thanks to the effectiveness of the run game, but it's not a problem in his eyes. According to Brees, "...my mindset doesn't change in regards to preparation or the efficiency that I want to play at. I still think 'positive plays.' I still think 'taking care of the football'... at the end of the day, what has it done for me? Well, it doesn’t force me to have to take as many chances." If you're searching for a sure thing in a playoff league or a cash game, Brees is the way to go.--Pierre Camus - RotoBaller
