Drew Brees Throws for 376 Yards in Wild-Card Win
7 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees had only eclipsed the 300-yard mark on three occasions this season, but he saved one of his best games for the playoffs. In the Wild-Card round, Brees threw for 376 yards and two touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers. He had one interception that nearly cost the Saints the game. On fourth-and-two with two minutes left in the game and a five-point lead, the Saints went for it to try to seal the game. Brees overthrew his target and was picked off, but the Panthers couldn't produce another touchdown to overcome the 31-26 deficit. Brees was sharp all night otherwise. He rewarded fantasy owners this week but will have a far tougher draw on the road against Minnesota next week.
