7 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Erasmo Ramirez (shoulder) threw around 20 to 25 pitches of live batting practice Wednesday and is "moving in the right direction," according to manager Scott Servais. Ramirez will likely throw 35 to 40 pitches of live batting practice next and then go on a minor league rehab assignment. Ramirez has only thrown 9 2/3 innings in 2018 over two starts and hasn't fared well with a 10.24 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 5.6 K/9. He's a swing man for the Mariners but is only useful to fantasy owners if he's making starts. You can keep on ignoring him for now.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
