6 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria (calf) did not start Sunday's game against the San Diego Padres due to the sore left calf he sustained in Saturday's outing. However, he came on as a pinch hitter, and skipper Bruce Bochy said after the game that he expects Longo to return to the starting lineup on Monday night on the road against the rival Los Angeles Dodgers. If you normally rely upon Longoria in fantasy leagues it appears safe to plug him back into the active lineup.--Daniel Dobish
