Former Champion Rickie Fowler Returns To The Players

4 years agoRickie Fowler returns to a tournament this week in which he’s had success before, The Players Championship. Fowler was able to turn in one of his five career tour wins here in 2015, edging out Kevin Kisner and Sergio Garcia in a playoff. His other finishes here include a missed cut, a T60, another missed cut and a T47 from 2016-2019, respectively. His recent form, outside of two missed cuts, is better than the public is perceiving. Fowler turned in a T10 at The American Express, a T47 at the Waste Management and a T18 last weekend at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in brutal conditions. Fowler is 53rd in the field in strokes gained: tee to green, but he’s too talented to be ignored in DFS at an event he’s won before.--Aaron Burger
