7 years agoThe Miami Marlins placed outfielder Garrett Cooper on the 10-day disabled list after he took a pitch off the wrist in the team's first series against the Cubs. Cooper, who began the season as the team's starting right fielder, is listed as Miami's No. 17 prospect. Miami's severe lack of outfield depth was a big reason for Cooper beginning the season in the big leagues. According to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro, Cooper is expected to split time between Miami and Triple-A New Orleans this season.--Steven Slivka
