7 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Garrett Richards (elbow) has elected to undergo Tommy John surgery, which will end his season. He'll likely also be sidelined all of next year, too, which is bad news with him set to be a free agent this winter. It's a huge bummer for the Halos and for fantasy owners, too, as Richards had been effective when healthy. His career has been marred by injuries so far, though, and he'll be off the fantasy radar in 2019. He can be dropped in all single-year formats. The good news for the Angels is that they're getting left-hander Tyler Skaggs back on Thursday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
