5 years agoIn the opening days of training camp, Seattle Seahawks backup quarterback Geno Smith is getting a lot of attention for some of his throws. Smith was particularly complimented for a deep sideline pass he made on Friday that was dropped right in the bucket, and offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said Smith was even beating Russell Wilson's performance on some plays. Schottenheimer also reminded reporters that the competition to be the team's backup is nowhere near over and expected to last throughout the preseason, but Smith is certainly garnering plenty of attention so far.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
