Geronimo Allison Sees Some Action in Third Preseason Game
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Geronimo Allison caught two passes for 40 yards in Friday’s preseason game against the Oakland Raiders. Green Bay rested most of their starters, so Allison seeing action isn’t the biggest endorsement. Green Bay’s second string offensive linemen struggled in pass protection during the game which limited much of Green Bay’s, including Allison’s, production. Allison is almost certainly going to open the year third on Green Bay’s depth chart. He will line up outside when Green Bay goes to a three wide receiver set, which happens a lot. Opportunity and volume will lead to Allison being a useful fantasy contributor, but there isn’t a tremendous amount of upside. Allison is very reliable and has good size but he lacks the athleticism to be a dominant fantasy option.
