7 years agoOn NFL Network on Monday, Ian Rapoport speculated that the Green Bay Packers could be a potential suitor for free-agent wide receiver Allen Robinson. Robinson, along with free-agent wideout Sammy Watkins, is considered the top wide receiver on the market. Robinson had previously played for Jacksonville, where he had some standout years despite inconsistent quarterback play. The 24-year-old receiver missed almost the entirety of the 2017 season with a torn ACL. The Chicago Bears have also been rumored as a possible suitor for him. Robinson would be the exact type of talented deep threat that Green Bay needs. Although wide receiver Davante Adams has played well in Green Bay, they have not had a wide receiver who can take the top off a defense in years. Additionally, Robinson has the ability to create separation by himself, a necessary trait in Green Bay’s scheme. Robinson’s fantasy stock would skyrocket if he joins Green Bay, as he would conceivably be the No. 1 option for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.--Tyger McGuiggan
