4 years agoSan Diego Padres second baseman Ha-Seong Kim is in the lineup for his first career start on Saturday, where he will bat sixth against Caleb Smith and the Diamondbacks. Kim struck out in his first career plate appearance after being substituted in late in the game on Opening Day, but in seven years playing in the Korean Baseball Organization, he displayed 25-homer, 25-steal potential. It remains to be seen how much of that will translate to MLB, but he did struggle some in Spring Training where he slashed .167/.314/.167 in 19 games,--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
