3 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Ilya Samsonov posted his second shutout in as many games on Saturday night. In San Jose, the Russian goalie stopped all 22 shots faced. He did not face many dangerous chances but Samsonov was able to stop everything he saw. That is the hardest part. When the shot volume is not there, the goaltender was arguably at his best. Samsonov improved to 6-0-1 on the season and to think his save percentage was under .900 a week ago. It is much improved now. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
