4 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Isan Diaz has been placed on the restricted list. Diaz has reportedly chosen to opt out of the season after seeing what happened to the Marlins roster over the past week. As far as public reports go, Diaz was not among the Marlins to test positive for COVID-19, but he won't play again this season after making his choice. Diaz was off to a .222/.222/.222 start after a .173/.259/.307 stint in 49 games last year. Diaz is still an exciting prospect based on his minor league performance, but he'll have quite a bit to show in 2021.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
