6 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays activated starting pitcher Jake Faria (oblique) from the taxi squad Tuesday during a series of moves that included moving infielder Daniel Robertson (thumb) to the 60-day disabled list. Faria has a 4.84 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 46 K's in 57 2/3 innings over 13 outings (11 starts), but he was set back by an oblique injury midseason. Faria could see some starts down the stretch but would mainly be an AL-only option as a streamer. There remains some potential for upside if he can regain the form he had shown in the past but it does not seem like a smart bet. Robertson's regular season is over.--Jamie Mellor
