4 years agoKansas City Royals right-handed pitcher Jakob Junis was recalled to the club’s active roster ahead of Wednesday’s contest versus St. Louis and is now expected to appear out of relief over the season’s final few days. Initially set to be a full-time starter, the club will utilize him in shorter stints out of relief in an attempt to gauge the viability of him joining the bullpen. Junis posted a 6.94 ERA across six starts this season before being optioned to the club’s alternate training site. He holds little fantasy appeal to close the year, but could be a name to keep an eye on in deep season-long formats come 2021.--Jesse Borek
