4 years agoKansas City Royals pitcher Jakob Junis made his first appearance since August 7 on Wednesday and turned in some mixed results. Junis only lasted 3 2/3 innings in the start, giving up four hits, one walk and two earned runs while striking out six. Junis was placed on the Injured List while dealing with a back injury on August 16. He's now made three appearances on the season and has a 4.26 ERA and 1.58 WHIP. It's yet to be seen when he'll make his next start as the team currently has five other pitchers in consideration for their rotation, however with Matt Harvey's significant struggles, it's likely that Junis has a leg up on the fifth spot.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
