Jalen Hurd Placed On Injured Reserve

4 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers placed wide receiver Jalen Hurd (knee) on the Injured Reserve with a torn ACL. It's a tough break for Hurd, who also missed all of his rookie season in 2019 with a back injury. The Niners had big plans for the versatile and explosive Hurd, and they signed wideouts Jaron Brown, J.J. Nelson and Tavon Austin this week to help with their depth. Deebo Samuel (foot) could also miss the start of the season, so rookie Brandon Aiyuk and Kendrick Bourne figure to benefit from added targets in the passing game. Don't forget about Trent Taylor, though, who could put himself on the map in deeper fantasy leagues if he proves worthy of a starting spot in three-wide sets.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
