Jarrett Stidham, Brian Hoyer In Fierce Competition

4 years agoNew England Patriots quarterbacks Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer are in a fierce competition with each other for the starting gig in the post-Tom Brady era, but the two have been working out together and have an important dynamic between each other while sacrificing to help each other. One of the reasons the Pats went back to Hoyer was because of his experience and top-shelf professionalism. Stidham is expected to win the job in training camp, but there's a big unknown with him in his second season in the NFL. The fourth-round pick was up-and-down in college and won't be asked to do too much if he's the guy for Bill Belichick in 2020. Because Stidham will be a low-upside game manager, he's not much of a fantasy option outside of deep two-QB setups.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
