Joc Pederson Stays Hot With Fifth Home Run
3 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Joc Pederson went 1-for-4 with a monster two-run home run in Thursday's loss versus the San Francisco Giants. Pederson would have had two home runs, but outfielder Steven Duggar robbed him of a solo shot in the top of the first inning. Pederson has been hitting the ball very well for his new team and is now batting .236 with five home runs and 19 RBI. The slugger has also been leading off versus righties and has been getting at-bats against lefties. Pederson is a valuable option for managers seeking power that can afford a low batting average.
