Jorge Polanco Sitting On Monday

4 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Jorge Polanco is getting the day off on Monday as the team wraps up a five-game series with the Detroit Tigers. Ehire Adrianza is getting the start at shortstop in the game while LaMonte Wade Jr. is slotting in at Polanco's typical spot atop the order. Polanco has a slash line of .285/.321/.399 with four home runs, 18 RBI and 18 runs on the year. His production is down a bit overall from last year. His barrel-rate so far this year (2.9%) is well below his 2019 clip (6.7%), but he's striking out just 12.4% of the time this year, compared with 16.5% last year. All in all, Polanco is a solid fantasy contributor who should be started by most fantasy owners on a weekly basis.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
