4 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Kyle Lewis went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and three strikeouts in Sunday's season finale against the Athletics. Lewis started the season as one of the hottest hitters in baseball but reality caught up to him in the second half. Lewis has seen his batting average drop from .291 to .262 in the last 10 games with only three hits in that span. While the home runs and improved walk rate offer optimism for next season, the strikeouts, lack of extra base hits and batting average liability offer some pessimism. Lewis will end the season with a slash line of .262/.364/.437 with 11 home runs and five steals. It will be interesting to see where Lewis ranks heading into 2021, but he will likely be ranked too high.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
