Kyle Schwarber Sitting Sunday

6 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres. Schwarber has been playing more recently and taking advantage of it hitting .333 with a 1.012 OPS over the past two weeks. However, Schwarber is still pretty bad against lefties slugging just .280 against them compared to his .551 slugging percentage against righties, so he will sit most of the time the Cubs face left handers. The Padres have lefty Eric Lauer pitching on Sunday, so that's the reason for Schwarber being out of the lineup. Schwarber is a must own fantasy option in daily roster leagues, but it can be tough to play him in a weekly points league with his limited playing time and strikeout rate.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
