6 years agoBoston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving went for 29 points and 10 assists during Wednesday’s loss to the Phoenix Suns, delivering his fifth double-double of the season and first in the month of December. Irving has now scored at least 20 points in eight of his last nine contests. When combining his scoring ability with the fact that he is on pace for new career highs in assists (6.4), rebounds (4.8) and steals (1.8) per game, it’s easy to see why Irving has moved back into elite fantasy territory after a slow start to the year. The Milwaukee Bucks’ defense has been stingy this year, but Irving will have a chance to put up numbers playing at an increased pace Friday.--Jesse Borek
