4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is not part of the team's starting lineup for the first game of the team's double-header against the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday. Gurriel had previously started 18 of the team's 21 games this year. In his place, Billy McKinney is getting his first start of the season, covering left field and batting seventh in the game. Gurriel is off to a slow start to the year, slashing just .250/.275/.342 with only one home run. Gurriel hit 20 home runs over just 84 games last year, showing he has legitimate big league power potential. He will likely be back in the lineup for the team's second game on Thursday.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
