6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Luke Weaver allowed five runs - four earned - and six hits with two walks and three strikeouts across 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday. He threw 62 of his 97 pitches for strikes, but he managed just 11 first-pitch strikes to the 23 batters he faced and he also hit a batter. The highlight of the day might have been his two-run homer in the fourth inning off of reliever Pedro Baez. Weaver will look for better results Saturday against David Price and the visiting Boston Red Sox in a difficult matchup.--Daniel Dobish
