Madison Bumgarner Pitches Well In Wild Game Thursday
5 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner turned in another gem in Thursday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Mets. MadBum pitched nine innings, allowing one run on five hits and a walk with six strikeouts on 94 pitches. Unfortunately, his team couldn't finish off the win until the 16th inning. Bumgarner has been excellent over his past six starts, posting a 3.03 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with 37 strikeouts in 32 2/3 IP. The Giants are now just one game under .500 and are in the hunt for a Wild Card spot, so it will be interesting to see if they hold off on selling their top trade chips such as Bumgarner. Regardless, he will continue to be a higher-end fantasy option for the rest of the season.
